Wow. Diversity, vibrancy, energy and enthusiasm overwhelmed us when we first visited Morden Primary School. Located on a hill in the historic original village centre of Morden, Surrey the school’s bell tower was a landmark that needed to be retained in the new identity, so we combined this with the essence and atmosphere of the school to create an exuberant new logo.

Back Story

Morden Primary School had no real logo when we met them, just a drawing of their clock tower to which they added the name of the school as required.

Our brief was to commission an updated version of this drawing and add the name to create a real logo and identity that could be used easily by the business manager who had the responsibility of marketing the school

We held a mini brand workshop and briefing session to uncover the real spirit of the school and in turn how we would communicate this. Visiting the classrooms we noticed a wonderfully upbeat atmosphere with lots of colour everywhere and we agreed to reflect this vibrancy in their new look

We worked with the existing uniform colours of blue and yellow on the main logo but managed to incorporate a rainbow of colour into the logo for the Friends Association and all the marketing materials including the prospectus folder and website.

The latter was an interesting project as it was designed by us with then developed and managed by the IT manager as part of his professional development.

In all, a lovely set of materials working with internal school resources at a very happy school.
