Seemingly the quintessential English public school, King’s Ely is a dynamic force once you step inside, epitomised by Adventurous Learning on all levels, at all ages. Our exciting new identity united these two very different aspects and formed the foundation for a programme of marketing that constantly seeks to excite and challenge whilst engaging its target market of UK and International families.

People are excited.  Staff, parents and children have expressed enthusiasm for the brand and that is serving to strengthen the feeling of community that is fundamental to the ethos of the school.  Our competitors are interested; prospective families have responded positively to our new advertising, and gradually a different message is abroad in the dinner party scene and in the area generally.

Back story

King’s Ely is a day and boarding school from 3 -18 yrs, mixed all through with a separate International section

It has a rich history of involvement with the ancient cathedral, an association that fosters its very strong musical side. The buildings are interwoven with the city, making it both urban and yet a wonderfully safe environment for children to walk around a workshop with the SLT and Chair of Governors, we focused on and agreed the key brand message of ‘Adventurous Learning’. This approach engenders pupils who have integrity, are energetic and courageous

With this style of learning in mind we wanted the marketing materials to similarly challenge, inspire and intrigue the target audience.

The rest is history….we designed a new identity, built the guidelines with fonts and colours and created a range of off-line marketing materials along with a new website, all emanating strictly from this brief. Our latest venture is a whole new look for Yearbooks: Acremont Adventures where we explain just how exciting it is to learn this way, starting with Pre-Prep.
